April 7, 2026 Spring Election Notice of Location and Hours of Polling Place: Notice of Location and Hours of Polling Place At the Spring Election to be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 in the Town of Merrimac, the following polling place location will be used for the wards indicated:                            Location                                                                              Wards             Merrimac Town Hall             S6911 Hwy 113                                                                      Wards 1 & 2             Merrimac, WI 53561                                                 All polling places will open at 7:00 A.M. and will close at 8:00 P.M. Stat. § 19.84, the Election Inspectors at each polling place will convene as the Local Canvassing Board for the purpose of conducting the local canvass pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 7.51.  This meeting will be open to the public pursuant to Wis. Stat. §§ 19.81-89.   Notice of Meeting of MBOC to Process Rehabilitated Provisional Ballots If provisional ballots have been issued and are subsequently cured by the voter before 4:00 p.m. on the Friday after the election, the MBOC must meet no later than the following Monday at 9:00 a.m. to process the cured provisional ballots.  This is a public meeting and requires applicable notice.   Posted this 5th day of April, 2026  Stephanie Brensike, Clerk

Well Water Testing Program

Missed picking up a well water testing kit because of Friday night fish fry? You can still pick up and pay for a kit Saturday June 14th between 9am-11am!

The Towns of Greenfield, Merrimac, and Sumpter, in collaboration with UW-Madison Extension and Sauk County, are offering a Well Water Testing Program. 

1. Choose from three test options.

2. Pick up and pay for your test kit at the Merrimac Town Hall Friday, June 13 from 4pm-6pm, or, Saturday, June 14 from 9-11am.

3. Collect your sample on Monday, June 16 and return the same day between 7-9am or 4-6pm.

4. Pick up your test results at an educational program on Tuesday, July 29 from 5:30-7:30pm at the Sauk County West Square Building, 505 Broadway, Baraboo, WI 53913. Those unable to attend will receive results by mail.
