Snow-Safe Roads Start at Home

KEEPING ROADWAYS WINTER READY! 

A few quick reminders to help our town roads stay safe this winter:

  • When clearing your driveway, please avoid pushing snow onto or across the road. It is unsafe and not allowed under state law. 
  • Keep garbage containers, snow stakes, and yard decorations out of the right of way (15ft from road edge) so the plows have room to work.
  • Please don’t park cars or trailers on the road or in the right-of-way. With narrow shoulders, parked vehicles can create hazards for plows, emergency responders, and other drivers.
