Fall Yard Waste Collection Day: Yard Waste Collection Day Saturday, October 21, 2023 9:00 am- 12:00 pm At the Village of Merrimac Wastewater Treatment Plant behind the Merrimac Conservation Club. The Merrimac Conservation Club is located 1 mile west of the Village of Merrimac. A large green sign is located at the enterance on the north side of Hwy 78/113. Follow the gravel road an dstay to the right to enter the Waterwater Treatment Plant. No dumping at any other time. This property is owned by the Village of Merrimac. Items accepted: Grass clippings Branches and other brush Leaves Organic yard waste only Your load will be inspected and any other materials will require us to turn you away.
NOTICE OF DEADLINE FOR STORM DEBRIS REMOVAL
STORM DAMAGE DEBRIS FROM 7/16/2023 STORM MUST BE PLACE IN THE RIGHT-OF-WAY BY AUGUST 6, 2023.
Residents of the Town of Merrimac may move trees & limbs, off private property (onto public right-of-way) to be picked up.
The debris that will be picked up is only for storm debris in manageable pieces, up to 18” in diameter (ONLY trees & limbs). Other debris will not be picked up.
Debris must be placed onto public right-of-way by 8/06/2023 to be picked up.
